Which parts of the world have no night for half a year.. or so..!?

I know there are a few parts of the world which have no night for a few good months.. and in contrary some which have no day light for most of the year… I guess…

There was definitely one in the movie “Insomnia”… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insomnia_(2002_film) which, supposedly, takes place in Nightmute, Alaska (also, hence the name of the village…).

Anyways, I’d like to know which other parts of the world experience this kind of… thing!?

between the arctic/antarctic circles and the poles, there is the entire range from one day/night of 24 hours (at the circles) and approx 6 months light/ 6 months dark (at the poles).
